Tata Motors Introduces The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4

With a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons,The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4 is the perfect partner that knows no boundaries.

Jakarta, August 25 2015 – Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd shows its full commitment to present the finest line up of commercial vehicles in Indonesia by introducing the Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4 at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015 in ICE BSD, Tangerang-Selatan booth 3F, hall 3A.

“The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4 is a strong double cabin truck, promising the most efficient operational cost in its class. These two features are important for our customers in Indonesia. We are confident that the Tata Xenon D-Cab will be well accepted by the Indonesian market,” said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI.

The Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4 is powered by a Tata 2.2L DICOR Euro II diesel engine combined with a 5-speed manual and electric shift arrangement transmission. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 160 km/hour and is the most fuel efficient truck in its class. The GBS-76-5/4.1 gearbox with overdrive is designed to give ease in shifting gears, promising pleasant manual transmission with grade ability of 90% operations.

The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab is a stylish commercial vehicle that can carry various cargo serving different businesses. Its loading deck measurements are 1.430mm x 1.410mm x 400 mm, and 210 mm ground clearance.

The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4×4 equipped with independent suspension with antiroll bar and a LSD (Limited Slip Differential) which provides stable manoeuvring while carrying a full load. The LSD allows the D-Cab to tackle various terrain and road conditions.

The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab is equipped with a Water-cooled Direct Injection Common Rail Turbo-charged intercooled Diesel engine. It has a 148 PS maximum output at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm maximum torque at 1700-2700 rpm.

With 61 years of experience in the automotive world, and expertise in producing world-class commercial vehicles, Tata Motors has equipped the Xenon XT D-cab with complete safety features, including, dual Air Bags, ABS, side impact beams and a reinforced 3-layer body construction.
