Tata Prima – World Class Truck now in Indonesia

With the range extending up to 49 tonnes and engine options up to 380 bhp, the Tata Prima is an ideal work horse for movement of goods and material across distances

Jakarta, 18 September 2014 – Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), a full subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd, India’s largest global automotive company and Authorized Agent of Tata Motors in Indonesia, unveiled World Class Tata Prima Tractor Head, at the 22nd Indonesian International Motor Show 2014 (IIMS) held in JI Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

In an effort to bring the concept of ‘The way the world trucks’, Tata Motors introduced the Tata Prima in 2009, with technical inputs from across the world – an Italian cab design, engine technology from the USA and Europe, gearbox expertise from Germany, chassis frame know-how from Mexico, sheet metal dies from Japan and Korea, combined with Swedish precision on a robotic weld line, hence also referred to as the ‘World’ truck.

A multiple award-winning range of trucks from Tata Motors, the Tata Prima range includes multi-axle trucks, tractor-trailers and tippers, apt for several applications, thus meeting varied end-user requirements, in terms of comfort, driving dynamics and economy, boasting outstanding material durability and build quality as well as the lowest overall operating costs.

The Tata Prima has raised the bar in the trucking scene, right from its cabin features, power-to-weight ratio, safety aspects, advanced technologies, quality and reliability, return on investments, and hence is still the best truck range available.
