Jakarta, 10 August 2017 – PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), a subsidiary of Tata Motors Ltd and authorized distributor of Tata Motors in Indonesia, officially launched Tata Prima LX 2528.K, at the 25th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2017. This heavy duty is specially designed for off-road use in applications such as mining, and construction.
“With improvement in commodity prices and more investment in infrastructure development projects, it is the right time for us to introduce the Tata Prima LX 2528.K Tipper. Its toughness and reliability in the severe operating conditions of the mining sectors have been tested for over two and a half years and the results are hugely satisfactory,” said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI.
Tata Prima LX 2528.K has a 6×4 drive which makes it tough and capable of facing any off-road terrain in the mining or infrastructure development zone. Its toughness, among others, is delivered by a more powerful chassis, specially designed tires for off-road terrain, and strong suspension.
“The use of a reliable drive system ensures minimal power loss from engine to wheels resulting in a high level of efficiency. Coupled with longer maintenance intervals as well as the use of affordable and low maintenance components, this tipper offers much more economic value to the operator,” Biswadev said.
Tata Prima LX 2528.K has a maximum Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 25 tons, and it uses a high-performance Euro III compliant Cummins Diesel Engine capable of delivering Power of 266 BHP @ 2500 rpm and peak torque of 975 Nm @ 1.500 rpm. This tipper comes with a heavy duty 9 speed Gear Box and can reach a maximum speed of up to 87 kph.
The cabin of Tata Prima LX 2528.K has been designed in the most contemporary manner to ensure utmost driver comfort which will enhance productivity. The cabin is equipped with a 4-point suspension the driving position can be adjusted as per need and come with adjustable steering wheel. The cabin is equipped with a blower and an AC provision.
The introduction of Tata Prima LX 2528.K will complement the range of Prima Series Trucks sold by TMDI in Indonesia. Tata Prima Tractor Heads are already in operation in different parts of Indonesia for cargo transportation and container haulage.

Tata Prima LX2528.K price is being launched at a very special introductory Off the Road price of Rp 802.391.147 for the Cabin Chassis and on the Road price of Rp 992.500.000 for the fully built up tipper.
