Jakarta, 24 September 2014 – Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), a full subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited and Authorised Agent of Tata Motors in Indonesia announced to have received 78 vehicle orders, comprised of 50 commercial vehicles and 28 passenger vehicles.
“Since the Indonesian International Motor Show (IIMS) 2014 began from 18 September to 23 September, Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles have drawn strong visitor enthusiasm. The public is especially interested in the car-store concept, Tata Moko, which is derived from the Tata Ace EX2 702 cc diesel, and also various applications based on the Tata Super Ace 1,400 cc diesel and Pick up Tata Xenon 3,000 cc diesel,” said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI.
Biswadev added, the Tata Moko based on the Tata Ace EX2 is fuel efficient and can be custom modified (karoseri) to become a multi-commodity commerce car, well suited for Jakarta street vendors and micro businesses in the suburbs or rural area that require mobility.
Meanwhile, the Tata Super Ace can be modified into various forms, including an ambulance, dumper, box car, car-store, and public transport car.
“In this year’s IIMS, we want to prove our commitment in Indonesia by providing tough and global quality transportation solutions. Our offerings include passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, public service and transport vehicles,” said Biswadev.
Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles can serve the needs of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and even international mining companies. From commercial vehicles that can be converted into small public transport solutions, to vehicles needed by big bus companies.
