TATA ACE EX2 The First Mini Diesel Pickup in Indonesia Launched in IIMS 2014

A Microdiesel Pickup needed by Indonesia, ready to be a driving force of the rural economy

Jakarta, 11 September 2014 – After two years of preparation, Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia is ready to launch its first Mini diesel Pickup Tata Ace EX2. Tata Ace EX2 with 702cc diesel engine. Mini diesel Pick up is aimed to boost the rural businesses along with the last mile solution for the Urban and semi urban customers. Tata Ace EX2 is the First Mini diesel Pickup in Indonesia, which has best in class fuel mileage and also affordable and can be modified through “karoseri” to cater the needs of the consumer such as Aluminum container, garbage tipper, bottle carrier etc.

The Tata Ace EX (first variant of Ace family) was first introduced in 2005 and in this nine year company has sold more than 1 million units in various countries. Tata Ace EX model is proven to be tough and durable supporting the entrepreneur community for over 9 years. Tata Ace EX2 is the latest version of Tata Ace EX.

“We are sure that, after two years of rigorous testing in Indonesia, the Tata Ace EX2 with its best operating economics in Mini Pickup segment is the much needed vehicle for the last mile distribution in Indonesia, and we will launch it in the IIMS 2014,” said President Director of TMDI, Biswadev Sengupta.

As a country with high growth rate also experienced in its smallest and furthest islands, Indonesia needs a tough transportation mode to support the economy of its people. Tata Ace EX2 will be the latest solution in the Rural, Semi Urban & Urban transport that is much needed in Indonesia. Tata Ace EX2 has gone through rigorous testing in Indonesia before its launch and posts the feedback from the customer. Changes have been also incorporated before the launch in Indonesia.

The Eco-friendly and super-efficient Tata Ace EX 2 will be officially launched on 18 September 2014 in the Tata Motors Outdoor Pavilion OD 9, JI EXPO, Kemayoran, Jakarta. The launch will also be attended by executives from the International Commercial Vehicles Business Unit Tata Motors Ltd.
