Tata Motors and Blue Bird Cooperation

Jakarta, 10 January 2014 – Subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited, and sole-authorized agent of Tata Motors in Indonesia, PT Tata Motors Distribusy Indonesia (TMDI), sealed a cooperation with Blue Bird transportaion company. The cooperation commenced with the delivery of 6 units of Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel to the Blue Bird rental division. “As a newcomer in Indonesia, Tata Motors is proud that our Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel is chosen by Blue Bird, a well-established transportation company,” said Manoj Arora, GM of Sales & Marketing TMDI.

General Manager of PT. Pusaka Prima Transport (Blue Bird Group), Ir. Endang Sudrajat, in Jakarta said that the request for Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel came from the customers of Blue Bird Rental company. Blue Bird strives to fulfill its costumers’ needs, including demand for a specific type of car and brand. Prior to the cooperation, Blue Bird has conducted various data verification and analysis, in accordance to company procedure.

“We hope the cooperation can be long-lasting. Tata Motors is a company that provides smart mobility solutions. We have many products that offer strength, endurance, with low-cost maintenance fees,” said Manoj Arora.

The Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel is a seven-seater family vehicle with 200 mm ground clearance. The car is 4780 mm long, 1895 mm wide, and 1780 mm tall. The Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel comes with a turbocharger intercooler that can produce 140 PS/4000 rpm, and 320Nm/2700 torque, all of which optimally distributed to the wheels through a five-speed transmission system.

Other superior features include Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) with dual, front and back disc brakes. The Tata Aria 2200 cc diesel is priced Rp 260 million in Jakarta, with four colour options; pearl white, sardinia red, quartz black and arctic silver.
