Tata Motors Officially Opened New 3S Dealer in Lampung

Offering strong commercial and passenger vehicles with global-standard quality.Optimistic in competing in the Lampung market with the Tata Super Ace and Tata Ace EX2, 700cc pick-up dieseland other range of vehicles aiming at agricultural and rural sectors

Bandar Lampung, 28 March 2015 – After celebrating its more than 1,200 units of sales within a 16-month period, Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), authorised agent of Tata Motors in Indonesia, officially launchesits 3S (Sales, Service, & Spare parts) dealer in Bandar Lampung, a developing province which is also a gateway to SumateraIsland.

Lampung is the 12th 3S dealer of TMDI. At the moment, apart from these 12 3S dealers, TMDI also have 60 2S (Service and Spare parts), Tata Certified Workshops (TCW) in Java, Bali and Sumatra Island.

“Lampung is the 12th 3S dealer of TMDI and the second in Sumatera. After developing a network in Java and Bali, our focus is now Sumatera. Lampung in particular, and Sumatera in general, are promising areas for sales growth of Tata Motors in Indonesia,” said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI.

Biswadev added that they have planned to become close to prospective customers in Lampung and have learned that economic growth in Lampung in 2014 was triggered by the agricultural sector, followed by the trading sector (hotel and restaurant), and last is the processingindustry sector. Moreover, other sectors that have showna growing number compared to last year are the service and transportation sectors.

“Tata Motors is the biggest vehicle manufacturer in India and has a wide variety of vehicles,both passenger and commercial vehicles. For the commercial segment, we have a small commercial vehicle in the form of a mini pick-up called Tata Ace EX2 (Pioneer of Mini Pick up diesel segment in Indonesia), with a 700cc diesel engine andcompatible for rural and agricultural transportation. Also, we have the Tata Super Ace which has a 1400cc diesel engine, which can be a solution for goods as well as passenger transportation,” explained Biswadev.

Biswadevis optimistic that the Tata Motors dealer in Lampung can contribute significantly to the national sales volume of TMDI in Indonesia. In addition to providing products that meet the needs of the people in Lampung, TMDI also has the ‘Peace of Mind’service program.

The Tata Motors 3S dealer in Lampung is owned and managed by PT Simpur Mobil Lampung (SML). Covering a land area of 1800 m2 and total of building area of 1200 m2, the showroom space is 800 m2. Also available a comfortable andmodern designed waiting room. The area for vehicle service is 400 m2 with 5 units stall. Then there is a spare part stock room filled with acomplete collection of Tata Motors Genuine Parts.
