Xenon HD and Super Ace HT GLS unveiled at IIMS 2017

Jakarta, 27 April 2017 – Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), authorized distributor of Tata Motors in Indonesia, has once again shown its commitment to build Tata Motors brand in Indonesia, through the prestigious Indonesia International Motors Show (IIMS). At IIMS 2017, TMDI has introduced new high gear variants of its bestselling pickup products – Tata Super Ace and Tata Xenon RX.

Tata Super Ace had already created a niche for itself with its superior diesel technology and best in class operating economics and now the High Torque version, Tata Super Ace HT will be able to offer much better grade ability and even further superior fuel efficiency.

“Tata Super Ace HT DLS has been introduced to meet the specific needs of customers who have to regularly negotiate sharp gradients. We realise that many areas of Indonesia have sharp gradients and based on the feedback from our customers there, the engineering teams in Indonesia and India have jointly developed this new variant. With diesel efficiency and high torque, I am sure that Super Ace HT can change the dynamics of the 1T pickup market. Additionally, this variant will come with black interior which will give a premium feel to the cabin.” said Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI.

At IIMS 2017, TMDI has also launched Xenon HD (Heavy Duty). Xenon HD is the next generation version of the 3000 cc diesel pickup, Tata Xenon RX. This vehicle comes with a turbo-intercooled engine and high gear ratio for more haulage, better gradeability and more fuel efficiency.

“The response from the Indonesian customers to Xenon RX has been tremendously good last year, and based on the inputs from our customers we have further improved the performance with this new version. Apart from superior performance, this product is much more fuel efficient than its nearest competition and can add lot of value to the business of our patrons” explained Biswadev.

Biswadev added “Although we are a new brand, we always try to remain responsive to the voice of our customers that helps us in developing even better products and offering better service options all the time.”

The indent for these products will start at IIMS 2017 and at just a marginally higher price, these variants are expected to increase sales of Tata Super Ace and Tata Xenon RX even further.

Tata Super Ace HT DLS
Tata Super Ace HT (High Torque) Super Ace HT is equipped with 1400 cc diesel engine with 5 speed manual transmission, the power is 70 HP at 4500 rpm rotation, 135 Nm torque at 2500 rpm and using Rear Axle Ratio (RAR) 4.88. It is completed with a top speed capability of 125 km/h and armed with Euro Emission Level EII and EIII.

The characteristic of its diesel engine that works at low rpm guaranteed its economical fuel consumption, minimum component friction and make the component ages longer, contributing to low-cost maintenance which is better than the gasoline engine.

Tata Xenon HD

Tata Xenon HD (Heavy Duty) 3.0 Liter Turbo Direct-Injection engine is capable of driving up to 105 km/h top speed with a peak power of 75 Ps and peak torque of 275 Nm, With the best fuel efficiency in its class. Xenon HD is equipped with Turbo Intercooler and RAR of 4.55. Using the latest gear box technology of Xenon which is designed to provide easy gear shifting. Tata Xenon is already equipped with power steering, adjustable steering column, and bucket seats for the front side that has been equipped with chair arrangement. Alongside its broad interior, clutch footrest and port are also available for mobile charging.
